On November 15, 2024, the New College Events, Festivals, and Culture Team hosted the vibrant Indonesian Culture Exchange event in Room D-304. This engaging evening was a delightful opportunity for residents to immerse themselves in Indonesian culture, cuisine, and language.
The event kicked off at 8:30 PM, welcoming participants eager to learn and experience the rich traditions of Indonesia. Attendees were greeted by native Indonesian speakers who facilitated interactive sessions, teaching basic expressions in Indonesian. This was especially beneficial for those wanting to connect with Indonesian friends and learn more about Indonesian culture.
Participants enjoyed a variety of traditional Indonesian games, adding a fun and competitive spirit to the evening. The highlight, of course, was the chance to taste an array of delicious Indonesian delicacies, from savory snacks to refreshing drinks, making the experience both educational and delectable.
The atmosphere was filled with excitement and laughter as residents connected over shared experiences and new friendships. The event was not only a cultural exchange but also a celebration of community, bringing together people from diverse backgrounds to appreciate Indonesian heritage.
A big thank you to everyone who registered and participated in the Indonesian Culture Exchange! Your enthusiasm and curiosity made the event a success. We hope you left with a greater appreciation for Indonesian culture and some new language skills to take with you.
