On November 16, 2024, a group of enthusiastic hikers set out from HKU for an exhilarating trek to Victoria Peak. Despite the humid, hot weather, and threat of rain, spirits were high as participants gathered at 10 AM to embark on this hike.
As we set off, excitement was palpable among the hikers. The trail offered stunning views of the city and surrounding nature, making the warm temperatures more enjoyable. The lush greenery and vibrant flora provided a beautiful backdrop, showcasing the natural beauty of Hong Kong.
The hike to Peak Tower is well-known for its accessibility, making it suitable for everyone, including beginners. While the humidity posed a slight challenge, it fostered camaraderie among participants. We encouraged one another, sharing stories and laughter as we made our way up the trail.
Along the way, we took breaks to hydrate and admire the breathtaking views of the skyline. The iconic cityscape against the backdrop of Victoria Harbour was truly rewarding, making every step worthwhile.
After a fun and enjoyable hike, we finally reached Peak Tower. The sense of accomplishment was evident on everyone’s faces! We took time to explore the area, snap photos, and enjoy the panoramic views. The cool breeze at the top was a refreshing relief from the heat.
This hike, organized by the Outdoor Club, was not just about reaching the destination; it was about the journey and the connections made along the way. Despite the warm weather, the experience was filled with laughter, teamwork, and stunning scenery.
