The second High Table Dinner of the 2024/25 academic year was a sophisticated celebration imbued with charm and purpose. Built around the intriguing theme of "lucky numbers”, attendees are seated according to their chosen numbers, igniting conversations and fostering new connections.
The dinner itself was a symphony of flavours and laughter, with animated discussions weaving through the hall. The atmosphere lit up as attendees bonded over stories and experiences.
Master Amy Chow’s welcoming remarks created an atmosphere of warmth and anticipation, setting the stage for the distinguished guest, Dr. the Honourable LAM Ching-choi, SBS, JP, Chief Executive Officer of Haven of Hope Christian Service, who graced the event with his presence and wisdom.
Dr. Lam delved into the pressing and timely topic of “climate anxiety”— the intricate link between climate change and anxiety disorders. He spoke passionately, raising awareness about the crisis of environmental degradation. His talk illuminated the current challenges and the urgent need in preserving our environment.
With a profound call-to-action, Dr. Lam encouraged attendees to embrace interdisciplinary learning, strive to be responsible citizens, and contribute meaningfully to the betterment of society.
